THIS PLAY TAKES THE AUDIENCE THROUGH AN AVERAGE DAY IN A WELSH TOWN. WE WANTED TO CREATE A SOUNDSCAPE THAT WOULD TRANSPORT THE VIEWERS TO THE WORLD OF THE SHOW. WE ALSO WANTED TO USE THE SOUND TO MAKE THE EVENTS OF THE SHOW FEEL LIKE A DREAM.

In order to connect to the play's history as a radio play, we decided to incorporate practical foley into the sound design of the show. In this scene, Lord Cutglass is talking to himself while surrounded by his 66 clocks, which we used various props to create the sounds of.

Preshow was incredibly important for this show. Since the world of the show was so different from our everyday world, preshow helped to establish the feel of the world for the audience, and introduce them to this new world. For our preshow, we decided to go with Bamba by Catrin Finch and Seckou Kita, which was heavily inspired by Welsh culture.
